Teaching Learning Process Workshops

Like all journeys, the journey of Aurora’s Design Academy also starts with hopes, anticipations and a dream – a dream to grow into a large expansive tree nurturing knowledge and excellence under its life giving shade. And to provide an enriching environment, where learners are encouraged to take up independent thinking and alternate, attractive viable solutions to real world problems.

Though only at the early stages of germination, the vision to grow into a life giving tree of knowledge can only be possible through a sustainable growth path, with constant focus and nurturing. A sustainable growth path, in its turn, requires a clear vision of the path ahead and the goal.

The Academy’s sustainable growth and its development into a premier educational institution lies solely on the holistic development of its students.), the holistic development of students (or ‘Performance’) depends on a conducive environment, proper motivation, and their knowledge, skills and attitudes (KSAs). Thus, honing of knowledge and skills through constant motivation, and the provision of an enriching environment is the key to the sustainable growth of this newly founded institution. This can be possible through clear teaching, learning and development strategies.

The key objective here, is to move beyond the traditional teaching pedagogy, and to have one which encourages lateral thinking process; a pedagogy which encourages students to be learners throughout life.

Effective instructional strategies are ones which move beyond conventional boundaries and aim at a holistic development of students. The teaching-learning processes have to be selected so as to suit the respective topic/ subject in a more interactive manner, such that requisite skills and knowledge may be inculcated. The aim is to identify appropriate teaching methods to convey the subject most affectively to the students while targeting the development of maximum number of possible skills in the students.
